Nigeria health system, critical and epileptic

A healthy nation is a wealthy nation. But in Nigeria, the case is different because the government of Nigeria has failed to provide an effective health policy and medical care. When a sick or an injured person is rushed to a public or private hospitals in Nigeria, they are requested to make an initial cash deposit which is usually not parallel to the financial situation of the victims (the amounts requested are usually very high). And in cases like these, patients that can not afford the requested cash deposits, are allowed to suffer until they die either on the hospital beds or in their homes. The same thing applies to women in labour. They say that every single life represents a generation but how much is a life worth in Nigeria?

In most countries, most especially in Europe, when a patient is brought to a hospital in an emergency situation, the first thing that they do is to revive the victim before asking for his or her name, what to pay usually comes last on the list and for trivial medical issues, treatments are free. The health care delivery system in Nigeria is sad, critical and epileptic and as a result, millions of lives have been lost. Worse still, there are no ambulances in emergency situations. People suffer and die if they can not get to the hospital in due time.

The Nigerian Government government must enact laws that will allow sick people to be treated even when they do not have money or allow them the possibility of paying their bills later after saving their lives.  This is very important, please share until this article gets to President Buhari.
