Augustine Tekno Miles had one of his most beautiful moments in music on Thursday as he clinched three of the biggest awards at the Soundcity MVP Awards 2016 held at the Expo Center, Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
Tekno had been disqualified from the Next Rated Artiste category of 2016 Headies awards – his only nominations at the Headies. The Bauchi State born artiste had complained over the nomination as a next rated singer when he mocked the organizers in an Instagram post he later deleted.
“‘Next Rated after how many years? Let’s be honest please,” he had posted on Instagram.
Following him closely was Starboy label’s big boss Wizkid Ayo Balogun who clinched the Artiste of the year and Best Male artiste awards. YBNL boss, Olamide picked up an award for best collaboration with the single ‘who you epp’, while HKN’s big boy Davido failed to pick any awards despite getting three nominations.
