Young boy stripped naked, beaten for stealing chicken on Christmas Day

An irate mob on Christmas Day swarmed on a teenager accused of stealing chickens in Lagos State.

The teenager, who was caught in the act in the Ikorodu area of the state, was stripped naked, beaten to stupor with the stolen chickens tied round his neck. He was paraded around the streets as residents, both young and old were seen jeering at him.

But, to tell the truth, I almost cried when I saw this because this is wickedness and hoodlums that beat up suspects should know that are worse than them and if not for anything else but for serving jungle justice and taking the laws into their hands. Just a few weeks ago, a younger boy was also burnt to death for a mere accusation of stealing something to eat. These acts are uncivilized and barbaric. Normally, people are supposed to call the police when someone is caught stealing.The government of Nigeria must pass a strict law against these inhuman and vampirical actions.
