Gunmen kill APC chieftain in Rivers

Unknown gunmen yesterday killed the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward Five of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Council of Rivers State, Emmanuel Obuozo.

It was gathered that Obuozo was assassinated at his residence in Osomini community after the gunmen invaded his home, shooting sporadically to enable them to perpetuate the act unchallenged

A source said the incident has raised panic in the community and called for improvement of security in the area, adding: “The community is now in fear. We do not know what may have happened in the night when we hard several gunshots. Later in the morning, it was confirmed that Emma has been murdered.”
