Kewalram’s workers donate 100 pints of blood to save lives


About 100 pints of blood was donated to save lives at the blood donation camp and malaria prevention project organised by Kewalram Chanrai Foundation in conjunction with Lagos State Blood Transfusion and Rotary Club of Lagos Island at Afprint Compound, Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, Isolo, Lagos.
In addition to Rotary Club International, District 9110’s commitment to addressing the issue of dearth of blood in Lagos State Blood banks, the programme was organised to mark the memory of Mr G.B. Chanrai, late Managing Director of Chanrai Group who died in active service.
The Deputy Managing Director, Kewalram, Chanrai Group, Mr Victor Eburajolo commended Rotary Club of Lagos Island for partnering with Kewalrams Chanrai Foundation to cherish the contribution of the late managing director through the donation of blood to save lives.
President, Rotary Club of Lagos Island, Vinod Garg appreciated the opportunity given to his club to serve in the area of blood donation, which was the seventh project of the newly formed club with members close to 100.
The Chairman, Blood donation, Dr Femi Akodu said there was the need to encourage voluntary blood donation among individuals and corporate organisations by emulating the Chanrai Group.
