President Muhammadu Buhari’s current medical trip will soon reach one month. Buhari, who is believed to be currently receiving medical attention in London, United Kingdom, left the country on January 19.
He hinged the decision on the need for “a course of medications and further appointments” with his doctors.
This is the longest among the three vacations Buhari had so far embarked upon since he assumed office in 2015.
He had earlier embarked on a six-day vacation between February 5 and 10, 2016.
On June 6, 2016, he embarked on another vacation to attend to an ear infection and returned to the country on June 19, 2016. An investigation by our correspondent on Friday showed that nobody was sure yet of when the President would return.
One of our sources told Saturday PUNCH that, “the way it is now, we may just be informed on the morning of the day the President will return. There is no such information yet.”
