Four workers died Tuesday after taking ill while cleaning fuel tanks on a Caronte & Tourist ferry anchored in Messina port. A total of five workers fell into the ship's cistern and had to be extracted by fire fighters, One died in the ambulance, and three more have since passed away in hospital. Messina city prosecutors have launched a probe into the incident.
