Pisa, December 19 - A 70-year-old woman died of second and third-degree burns Monday after her electric heater made contact with a synthetic fabric, sparking a fire.
Maria Grazia Fantasia suffered burns to 40% of her body and died in her home just as rescue workers were about to helicopter her to a burns unit at Cisanello Hospital in Pisa.The incident occurred in the medieval town of Castelfranco di Sotto in Pisa province.
